Now we've seen everything there was to see at the big four Fashion Weeks in Paris, Milan, London and In New York we are ready to recognize the patterns and find out which runway trends will prevail in spring / summer 2018.
We've seen so many lightweight fabrics, both in color and feel, that can be draped in layers that move elegantly with the figure and keep things cool. To keep things going, we saw all manner of ornaments, from fringes and sequins to luxurious ruffles. # 1. Monochrome
In a move that was comforting and easy to style, we saw many plain looks as part of Spring / Summer 2018 fashion trends. Many of these looks were multi-layered, like Victoria Beckham's white jackets, pink and pink lavender and lavender pants.
At Michael Kors, this trend was featured in pinks and blues, with many flowing skirts and dresses and loose trenches, perfect for protecting against late summer winds. In the spring of 2018, the runway trend at Hermes took a darker turn (with a few minor exceptions), while on the Sies we saw Marjan runway monochrome in all shades of the rainbow.
# 2. Volume Over All
Quite universally was volume Everywhere in the season, as a possibility, so much to keep layers and jackets from feeling heavy and annoying.
Rochas, the volume trend for Spring 2018, translates to big drop waist dresses in bright colors and darker balloon skirts. It was a Ballroom Ready collection.
It was a casual look for Balenciaga and Helmut Lang. We saw boyfriend sized shirts and vests on the models along the Balenciaga runway, while at Marni almost every dress, every skirt and top had an inflated look, occasionally with a small waist that was kept small for an exaggerated hourglass Volumes used to make a statement included Lutz Huelle, Andrew Gn, Balenciaga, Anrealage, and Molly Goddard.

Extra large belts graced the waist of the models on the runway of Aquilano.Rimondi. They were worn over dresses and loose shirts and stood in black on lighter fabrics.

At Roksanda, high-waisted pants made from lightweight, warm cotton had a looser fit, and came with a drawstring at the top. This was a romantic, rustic way to style high-waisted pants. The same fit was seen with Isabel Marant, paired with a sharp jacket and a black belt that looked really sophisticated and ambitious.

# 5. All Denim All Day
Also known as the Canadian tuxedo, jeans on jeans were an o Obvious part of spring / summer 2018 fashion trends. We saw denim jackets and button-down shirts that were paired with both longer denim skirts and pants in all sorts of sophisticated cuts.At Rag & amp; Bone, we saw both tight and loose variations on the theme, mainly lighter denim and some colorful accents. Zadig & amp; Voltaire created a very modern yet casual look, with a short-sleeved denim top that was tucked into long, high waisted jeans in loose fit.
Max Mara made Jean Jumpsuits a sought-after spring item for every fashionista to create a flawless silhouette and keep things interesting by leaving the pants a touch lighter than the rest of the overalls.
We also saw some of these jeans on denim looks on the runways of Nina Ricci, Mugler, Versus, Tom Ford and more.
# 6. The maid's Tale Cut.
Is it possible that the designers like the TV series based on the brilliant book by Margaret Atwood as much as I do? I'm not sure, but it seems that the styling on the show inspired a lot of collections - either, or we just see a continued departure from hip-style designs, but just at longer lengths than in previous seasons / p>
whole No matter what it was, big dresses that fly up to hide any appearance of figure were definitely seen as one of the fashion trends in Spring / Summer 2018.
The new team behind Nehera (All Women) surely embraced the silhouette with shapeless dresses as well as skirt and top pairings. Y / Project also included a voluminous but conservative silhouette, especially in their trench coat designs.

Trenches in classic light brown tones appeared on the runways, but we also saw some color variations and twists in the old-school design. Whether you're looking to resemble a 1920s PI or a Matrix -like character, the spring / summer 2018 runway trends have covered you.
My personal favorite was a delicately embroidered trench coat by Alexander McQueen, adorned with floral elements. Other trench coats on the McQueen runway featured satin and stitched seams that cleverly altered traditional structures.
At Valentino, the layering has been extended to the design of trench coats with large, salient storm spots. At Loewe, we saw trench coats combined with another spring 2018 fashion trend - a long pony that stretches from the knee to the ankle.

# 9. Bermuda Shorts
I love practical fashion trends in spring / Summer 2018, and shorts that end just above the knee (eg. Bermudashorts or biker shorts) are just that. They are perfect for the weather and luckily able to overexpose and scrub for those of us who are not model size. It was great to see so many stylish options that certainly go beyond the high-fashion world.
At Atlein and Nina Ricci, Bermuda shorts were paired with matching brown jackets for a slightly military effect that was anything but casual. On the off-white and Vanessa Seward runways, these biker shorts were more likely to channel a boyish look that was more preschool at the latter and at first punk.
On the runway of Saint Laurent, biker shorts stood out as handy, but perfect for an evening affair, worn under a short, poofy skirt with a matching top.
# 10. Short Shorts Forever
Short shorts are just too sexy to die for and they are indeed an important part of the M odetrends for spring / summer 2018. These leg baring classics were dressed both this season and this season. Like every designer, this parenthesis interprets this clip in a different way.
At Louis Vuitton, shorts made of athletic materials contrasted beautifully with ornate brocade frock coat. Derek Lam, by making short shorts in a looser cut and combining them with textured button-up shirts, actually made them look very serious and even stern.
# 11. Play Polo

Skirts and dresses with animals have a lot of texture, and they can look more bohemian or girlish and elastic, depending on the colors and colors how they are styled. Our favorite examples of casual layering this season came from Marni, Gucci, and others, who wore collar shirts under a much sportier t-shirt or sweatshirt, as opposed to the more chunky pullover look we did familiar with.
At Miu Miu, we saw Camisole dresses (a trend we've seen all over the runway!) superimposed over shirts, as well as see-through dresses layered over entire outfits, in a very humble version of the schoolboy looks.
# 14. Schoo lkid Socks
With all the short shorts and skirts, it was nice to see knee-high socks conveying that unbelievably sexy schoolgirl feel.
At Miu Miu It was more of a boyish schoolboy outfit as socks in all sorts of colors, both light and subdued, were worn with Oxford shoes, belt shorts and short-sleeved plaid capes.
Prada, black The socks were sporty in design and just below the knee. They were paired with collar shirts, which were under sweaters, shorts and long coats.
# 15. Big flared pants
Many Designers made friends in the 70s with loose trousers and jeans with big torches. At Kenzo, these jeans were big and loose, in a way that was more of a skater than a retro in the early 2000s.
At Victoria Beckham, conservative torches worked beautifully with summery suits that were both chic and stylish. Jonathan Saunders, for the Diane von Furstenberg collection, did not hide his' 70s inspiration with many gorgeous, high waisted trousers with big torches in unique colorful fabrics and paired with equally noisy tops.
# 16. Half & amp; Half
Why design two brand new outfits when you can ... cut them in half and glue them together? Some designers have decided to include some "two-paneled" options in their collections for those days you really need to notice, and the other spring 2018 fashion trends do not cut it.
If you're a fan of the one-sleeve phenomenon, then look no further than the Drapey Dresses by Anteprima and Gabriel Colangelo. More subdued variations on this theme, with sleeveless dresses in bold colors, were created by Aquilano Rimondi and Cappucci.

Every year some designers remember the past, and somebody has to pay tribute to the 60s with a few hippie designs, but a lot of mod that has inevitably made it special The funniest fashion trends for Spring / Summer 2018.
Versace embodied the 60s with headscarves, mod-style dresses and big plastic sunglasses in some of their more colorful designs.
The Paskal runway also embodied a fashionable feel, with sleek tunic dresses adorned with clustered petals reminiscent of a 1960s floral swim cap. Huishan Zhang was also from the sixties, with many evening options with the same mod silhouette.
# 18. A return to the 80's
Loud, big and bright - the 80's were definitely up the catwalks for fashion trends in spring 2018. They fit well with many other catwalk trends of the other season, including layering and all sports jackets.
At Gucci, the 80s featured the entire collection with big hair, textured jackets with big shoulders and a distinctive mix of neutral colors, prints and bright spring 2018 colors. At Stella McCartney, we just got a touch of '80s, acid-washed jeans and loud prints.
# 19 Easy Breezy Summer Dresses
Stay cool in the summer is not just a question of fabric and cut - aesthetics is also important. If you wear something heavy and floral in a weightless fabric, you'll feel a million times better. That's why the airy summer dress was such an important part of the runway trends in Spring 2018.
At Zimmermann we received a whole collection of beautiful spring dresses for 2018 in short and long lengths, thanks to floral fabrics and clever skin discoveries such as low neckline and open shoulders, both were sexy yet perfect during the day.
The Spring Brock Collection Show was a mix of more textured dresses, light sun dresses, and maxi dresses that swung around the hips, but with the waist cinched in to give a beautiful silhouette.
# 20. Bustiers are sexy ck
Is there anything that's sexier to wear as underwear as outerwear? Designers did not think it was that way, so bustiers became a must in spring / summer 2018 fashion trends.
Black bustiers were paired with skirts for the kind of look that might work for an evening with a more liberal style on the catwalks of Mugler and Olivier Theyskens. Emanual Ungaro, Uma Wang and Helmut Lang gave us female captain underpants vibes, worn with smaller bustiers over shirts or loose dresses. Last but not least, Mugler's Denim Bustiers are very remarkable.
Supplement In addition to more robust bustiers that could function as tops, we also saw many little brassiere on the catwalk, for the more daring fashion crowd to rock when the weather gets really hot.
At Tom Ford, bras have been integrated into a powerful yet sexy look, with super structured jackets and impressive shoulder pads and high waisted '20s gangster flick pants.
Bras on the Adam Selman Runway were more lounge-chic, wearing comfortable shorts and matching robes. Finally, in addition to oversized bustiers, the Helmut Lang collection has featured many deconstructed bras for an incredibly sexy effect.
# 22. Ribbons
Another popular decoration item this season were ribbons, whether in a darker style or simply as a style element. In the bright, summery collection by Michael Kors, the straps were placed diagonally from shoulder to waist, like a Miss Universe sash. It was not surprising to see straps in the Fenty Puma collection by Rihanna, which is related to the singer's affinity for a BDSM aesthetic. A Giambattista Valli, sheer fabrics were given a playful weight with ruffles along the edges of the skirts and dresses along the bottoms, necklines and sleeves. At Karl Chanel Karl Lagerfeld played with ruffles on his rather feminine creations, like long, airy skirts in bright tones.
We also saw girlish frills against the usual punk conventions at Alexander McQueen, where they were paired fighting boots and other dark elements. In the off-white show, both dresses and tops are cascaded in ruffles, in contrast to an otherwise more sophisticated collection.
Finally, I have to talk about the beautiful Marchesa collection - one dress after another we saw perfect elegance somehow made a wealth of ruffles and floral applications bundled together look sophisticated and sophisticated, like a whole adult princess ready for . a ball

Designers are trying their best to make fringes happen as one of the coolest spring / summer 2018 fashion trends, and I admit, I'm a tough sell. These funny little accents are just too "wannabe cowboy" for me, but I'm sure many of you will disagree. On dresses, they have a decided '20s flare that would be for those who would like evening drama.
Some designers went well over the top with the edge, in a way that was impractical but certainly striking. Some examples are fringe dresses by Calvin Klein and John Paul Ataker, and fringe-out jackets by Ulla Johnson and Edun.
We also saw some serious fringes on the catwalks of Paco Rabanne, Chanel,. Marchesa, Celine, Nina Ricci and Elie Saab
# 27. Glowy sequins
There were s o Have fun this season, from feathers to tassels, so it is no wonder that designer sequins are added to the list of Spring 2018 fashion trends. These shiny little discs have boosted some otherwise serious outfits and made sure that this season never got boring.
Italian designers in particular wanted to use sequins to make otherwise dim colors such as taupe and pale blue shine, though they were not the only ones. We have seen examples of this color combination at the shows of Alberta Ferretti, Bottega Veneta and Blumarine.
At the Each x Other Show, there was no delicacy, with a dress covered in red sequins and an all-silver sequin suit.
We also saw sequins on the catwalks of Salvatore Ferragamo, Giambattista Valli, Halpern, Redemption, Balmain, # 21 and many more.
# 28. Draped Silhouettes
It's easy to see which draped silhouettes e They are guaranteed to be comfortable, especially in hot weather, but they are undeniably elegant thanks to careful styling. # 30. Let Logos Talk!
Some designers could not help themselves and had to completely emboss their creations, which means logos will be on our side again for the runway trends in spring 2018.
For Fendi, the F logo was used to create geometric designs in all fur coats of the baseball jacket. The Max Mara logo was also used geometrically, albeit over the entire clothes.

Designers found all sorts of ways to integrate them into their collections to add a touch of intrigue. # 33. Billowy Robes
Another trend in the summer In 2018, formerly banished to the living room and bedroom, is the robe. We saw all kinds of luxurious light robes blowing over the runways. At Antonio Berardi and Jonathan Simkhai we saw white dresses with handkerchief hems, perfect for a summer garden party. At J.W. Anderson, we saw a casual version of this design element, with dark skirts paired with outdoor espadrille boots.
# 35. Peek-A-Boo Fabrics
Runway Trends Spring 2018 It's all about showing off, and that sometimes means sheer fabrics. If you are not afraid to show a little skin, you should look at a few of these creations!
With Helmut Lang, there was no attempt to hide the obvious sexuality of mere appearance, draped with organza over nervous, loose lingerie. There were similar translucent applications to Dolce & amp; Gabbana, albeit with a more romantic style and a retro flair.
On the Joseph runway, we saw a low-key design that could not completely corrupt even sheer fabrics. Models wore collared dresses that hung straight down and were buttoned to the neck, but due to the sheer fabric patterned underwear could be seen underneath.
It would be impossible to list all designers and collections that featured translucent fabrics, but a few include Giambattista Valli, Teatum Jones, Xiao Li, Emilia Wickstead and Toga.
# 36. Drawstring Elements
With drawstrings not only for collars, but also with creative tops and dresses as a design element, that was a nice allusion to the late '90s - one of the few fashionable trends in the summer of 2018.
Preen by Thornton Bregazzi combines drawstring with sexy cut-outs, while Armani wears the look much sportier. We saw the trend at the Peter Pilotto Show rather feminine. Calvin Klein, Ulla Johnson and Jason Wu also presented this trend in spring 2018.
# 37. Puffy Sleeves
Got Anne of Green Gables so much loved like me? Unfortunately, unlike the favorite heroine of this phenomenal book series, most of us have no tendency to large, swollen sleeves. However, if you're lucky with the Spring / Summer 2018 fashion trends.
We saw long, swollen sleeves in a striped dress at the Christian Siriano Show, while both Carolina Herrera and Maryam Nassir Zadeh held up Gigot pods their own runways shorter and reached just at or above the elbow.

One of the best things about changing i n the warmer seasons is to crack unusual constructions such as overalls and jumpsuits, which certainly hit the runways in the summer 2018 runway trends.
On the Tibi piste, we saw flattering and casual overalls made of loose fabrics in solid colors that would be perfect for a simple day or messenger run. There were athletic, long-sleeved overalls with a bit of Air Force Vibe at Rag & amp; Bones, which also looked like they were good utilitarian choices. Sparkly, tight, Clubby Overalls also appeared on the catwalks of Paco Rabanne, and Dolce & amp; Gabbana.

# 41. Knots
Knots are a great way to create textures in an outfit and make them one of many spring / summer 2018 fashion trends Fun. I also feel that I see them as part of objects, which justifies my occasionally stylish, occasionally lumpy habit of binding jackets around my waist when the weather suddenly gets hot and without warning.
The Jason Wu and Jeremy Scott Catwalks knots accented both long and short skirts, while adorning loose trousers for Alexander Wang. We also saw that we knotted T-shirt dresses at A Detacher and Kith.
Knit tops really stood out with Claudia Lee, as the knots actually played a role in the design of the outfit.
# 42. Pat chwork mishmash
A recurring theme on the catwalks of the spring and summer seasons was this kind of patchwork design. Various fabric patches that looked as if they were made of different items were put together to create something confusing and very memorable.
One example is the skirt at Luar, where it looked like a tight skirt would be combined with a flowing one in a unique way. Loewe showed clothes made of many panels that came together like a spring dress on a patchwork blanket.
Another favorite is the way you combine it with sweatshirts by Alexander Wang Camisolen, in a way that probably is not. t handy, but is certainly cool. We saw other collections that used patchwork designs on Fashion East's catwalks, Roberta One, Balenciaga, Haizhen Wang and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi.
Patent leather and vinyl have been in vogue for a few years, and we've seen it-girls wear these iconic Isabel Marant vinyl skirts wherever they go. Vinyl is still one of the boldest spring 2018 fashion trends, in the form of pants, skirts and outerwear options. Vinyl was spotted a lot by Balmain, Simon Miller, Aalto and Isabel Marant.
But fashion trends in spring / summer 2018 became even more daring and futuristic, suggesting they wore clear, plastic fashion items from Chanel, Valentino, Balmain, Marc Jacobs, Ellery, and many others.
# 44 Sportswear
As long as we are in fashion for comfort, sporting accents remain! Spring / Summer 2018 fashion trends are one of the coolest ways to make a statement, and we can not be happier.
Isabel Marant made sportswear look classy and elegant and created two beautiful pieces, the top with another trend of the season - inflated sleeves. Gucci and Fenty Puma by Rihanna, on the other hand, have appropriated sport-inspired clothing in the purest forms of all time!
# 45. Butterfly Elements
Butterflies are so fluttery and pretty, and as we all know, they return in spring back. It is only natural for many designers to be inspired by these gorgeous creatures for the Runway Trends Spring 2018. Buttefly details were a fantastic element of the second half of the Moschino show, where gowns beautifully embellished with the little creatures, while a gown embodied a single, massive monarch butterfly.
The patterns on butterfly wings were a clear inspiration for printing on many outfits on the Esteban Cortazar Catwalk. We also saw butterfly elements in Saint Laurent and Versace
