Dior Fall / Winter 2018-2019 RTW Collection
Are you ready for what in the end would not just be PFW's? but also the whole fashion show of the fall season 2018 is the most discussed fashion show of all time? Maria Grazia Chiuri's Dior Fall 2018 collection has long been described by many as "revolutionary" or "boring", with (apparently) every possibility of criticism in between. Either you love it or you hate it.
But what made your Dior Fall 2018 collection so controversial? The first ideas: Chiuri's ideas for the fall season of 2018 were inspired by an exhibition on the protests of 1968 that the designer had recently seen in Rome and arrived just in time The year marks France's 50th anniversary of the notorious Paris student protests of 1968, which marked a turning point for the Western world and affected not only students but also women.
Chiuri, whose philosophy for Dior is invincible to international feminism, has found a more rebellious way to make him into fashion. He celebrates the groundbreaking social wave with catchy slogans, peace signs and distinct aesthetics of the late sixties / early seventies reproduced through hippie pullovers (much like some of the LFW soigné evening pullovers), furs, leather pants and of course tartan suits.
An army of tinted sunglasses and caps completed the scene, adding a sense of unity and power that could very well be subtly read as Chiuri's way to support the #metoo movement.
That said, though The Dior Fall / Winter 2018-2019 collection was undeniably filled with must-have staples quickly from PFW to the wardrobe of every it-girl fly, many show how repeatedly the collection was presented and how banal the core theme was. Sure, many fashion designers filtered their personal lens back in the late '40s through the late' 60s, but whatever the point of view, we can not help highlighting Maria Grazia Chiuri's ability to combine timeless motives with a more contemporary attitude, viral to create successful pieces that are predictably on everyone's lips.
Guess what? The Dior Fall 2018 collection was full of balaclavas like Calvin Klein's, so those who are not up to the coming headgear should be prepared for the inevitable balaclava delusion.
Saint Laurent Fall / Winter 2018-2019 RTW Collection
Antho ny Vaccarello strikes again! With an 87-piece Saint Laurent collection in fall 2018 (it was a co-ed format) presented at PFW on Tuesday, the Italian-Belgian designer has certainly left everyone speechless and (once again) proving to be splendidly structuralist the eighties are. and sensuality can harmoniously go hand in hand.
Of course, the collection was inspired by the eighties Well, everything was Saint Laurent too. Despite the recurrent dark-tinted color palette (the lineup was almost exclusively black tinted), the structured shoulders, and the low necklines and hems (if you love mini skirts and mini shorts Saint Laurent is the place to go, that's for sure), Vaccarello It somehow managed to rethink everything in an even more erotic perspective, but it classic with a clear inclination for tactic proportions.
Each single brace has been designed to keep the outfit's it-emphasizing element, whether it was the boots, the face-veiling hat, or small details like the textured shoulders. As a result, Saint Laurent's Autumn 2018 collection both glittering and elegant radiance all together, a mysterious way to celebrate feminine seduction, which, according to Vaccarello himself, was inspired by "the Russian collection of Monsieur Saint Laurent, but with more of a Parisian direction. "
To top it off, he haloed the collection in a very empowering lure, not inviting us to be ashamed of our body ies. "Short is the best way for me to describe modernity," he said behind the scenes. "It's the best way to go ... legs are not something you have to hide."
Lacoste Autumn / Winter 2018-2019 RTW Collection
Apparently it was one of the coldest days in Paris today and due to climate change we could expect similar Siberian winds and bad weather in the com years (which, to be honest, is very worrisome and worrying).
As we strive to combat global warming and fulfill our day-to-day essentials, Lacoste Creative Director Felipe Oliveira Baptista wants to comfort us in his Lacoste Fall 2018 pieces, which are a good mix of urbanism, elegance, utilitarianism and activewear Warm Warm knit sweaters, reversible parkas, capes, jumpsuits and shearling boots dominated the scene at Lacoste's latest PFW Runway show and brought us one of the coolest "granny-style-made-for-millennials" aesthetics on the road to a PFW show see.
Structured and cozy, each one of Lacoste's Fall 2018 items should reflect a conscious philosophy that loves fashion as well as environmentalism, and the ensuing culminating completion of the collection, Lacoste's ongoing partnership with the International Conservation Union (10 vulnerable pieces) nodded.
If there's one thing we can not really avoid at this point, it's a breaking wave of sustainable fashion, and we're glad to see how coherent and consistent Lacoste is in its environmental engagement seems to be. Kudos to the, Lacoste!
