Hermès Spring / Summer 2018 RTW Collection
In Hermès Spring 2018, there were checks everywhere collection. The check options were different, with Hermès red, blue-black and wet-blue, pink granite and ultraviolet. Each of the checks was unique, slightly altered to look visibly different without disturbing oneself.
The collection comprised capes that are amazingly draped so effortlessly so easy to duplicate will be gates from the moment they came out on the runway. Hermès is the brand everyone knows and his life in France is well documented and respected.
Creative Director Nadege Vanhee-Cybulski has maintained the consistently high scores and expectations of Hermès, while the brand still allows it to develop nicely. The audience was treated this time to a show that was put together as carefully and thoughtfully as the clothes in the collection.
The Hermès Spring / Summer 2018 Runway Show was accompanied by a booklet called Hermès Colors. There were lyrics for the unique, commissioned music and descriptions of the colors. The collection was everything you could want from a ready-to-wear fashion line and from Hermès at the same time.
Alexander McQueen is not a brand that is not used to dramatic runway presentations. Sarah Burton and her textile artists were inspired during a day trip to the Great Dixter House in East Sussex. The inspiration she gained was very helpful, of course.
After Sarah; "It was about Britain to be in the garden, and the healing power of nature," and it was clear. The setting for the runway presentation was the epitome of a rainy British spring or summer day. The models ran with wet hair through the runway; the pergola canopies were breathtaking. The incorporation of military tattersall and pink chiffon dresses with movement and ruffles was unexpected, but pretty together. The 50s callbacks and black-and-white notes referring to the conceptual English gentlemen were also included in the Spring Collection 2018 by Alexander McQueen.
Sarah Burton showed a beautiful, well-rounded collection with many touches of nature and even the evening wear used a wide range of colors and shades in a floating silhouette that was interesting and romantic. The layers and color combinations were as interesting as the patterns.
Alexander McQueen's spring 2018 Spring Fair start-up show was clean and clear, allowing for great views of every ensemble in every direction. Also in the collection Alexander McQueen, playing on sheer materials popped up, continues for another season the trend is solidified.
