Let's go celebrate the warmer seasons with the spring / summer 2018 nail trends! For this new fashion season, manicurists and nail artists created all kinds of nail polish looks. On some airstrips we saw big, ornamented nails in loud colors, while many others decided to keep it simple and subtle.

Spring / Summer 2018 Nail Form Trends
# 1. Short Nails
In a nod to practicality, many nail artists have skipped the press-ons this season and let models rock short but well-kept nails. At Emporio Armani, the nails of most models were short and square, as were Marchesa and Oscar de la Renta. , This look was often paired with a firm strike of opaque, glossy nail polish, as paired with Sonia Rykiel.
# 2. Long ovals
Long ovals are the classic nail shape that almost everyone wants. They are long enough to scratch, but not so long to be uncomfortable. We saw the perfect example of classic long oval nails on the Adam Selman runway. Other runways with long oval nails were Francesca Liberatore, Antonio Marras and House of Holland.
# 3. Stiletto Nails
If you feel that the nail form trends in spring / Summer 2 018 are all practical, think again about it. While many of the looks we saw were pretty down to earth, many nail artists were not afraid to do anything with long stiletto press-ons.
For Tom Ford, Fenty x Puma, and Jeremy Scott, the extravagant Stiletto nails were painted with eye-catching hues. At the Blonds, Stiletto nails were truly unique, covered in heavily used design and some 3-dimensional appliques.
Spring / Summer 2018 Nail Polis h Trends
# 1. Classic red nails
Red is egg A timeless color that always fits on the catwalks. It's sexy, elegant and energetic, so it was no surprise to see that red nail polish became one of the spring / summer 2018 nail polish trends.
The Orly Shadow Love My Nails is the warm red with which the nails of the models were painted in the Adam Selman Show. This shade worked perfectly with a long, oval manicure.
At Vfiles, we saw a dramatic red stiletto nail, with a large, indiscriminate metallic nail art that went well with the vibrating collection.
Eudon Choi's cool red nail polish on short nails was a perfect complement to a very feminine collection. At Sonia Rykiel, a live steel warm red of the show.
# 2. Naked Nails
You can not go wrong with a pale pink, beige or light taupe, a timeless and natural nail polish color that is easily becoming a trend every season, so it's no surprise that part of the Spring / Summer 2018 nail trends is.
>For Alexander Wang, the perfect act was Essie's Topless & amp; Barefoot , a pale hue that blends well with short, smooth nails and fits all models regardless of skin color.
We saw a similar, albeit taupe and dull hue on the nails of models at the Sophia Webster show. Nude was also the go-to paint color of Mugler and Emilio Pucci.
# 3. Ocean Blue Nails
While warm and neutral tones generally dominated the nail trends of spring 2018, some nail artists resisted the trend to turn blue into their own trend
On Fenty x Puma by Rihanna, long nails were painted in an electric blue that had the perfect amount of energy for the summer, while at Concept Korea short nails were painted with an equally bright, though lighter, sky blue.
The only muted version of the trend was at Em porio Armani, where a navy blue was used to paint the nails of the models. p>
# 4. Bright Matte Nail Polish
A fun way, with really bright Playing neon-colored nail polish nuances is, i hr finish change. While we're used to highlights (and we've certainly seen some examples on the catwalk), nail artists have changed it with electrifying mats for the summer 2018 trends.
Jeremy Scott wore stiletto nails in bright pink and orange with a classy, matte finish. At Christian Siriano, in addition to the sketchy designs and flowers, there were also some duo-colored neon-matt nails.
# 5. Opaque Shimmer Nails
In one vigorous continuation of the trend d Last season, opaque shimmering colors appeared on many catwalks and became the "first choice" for simple and fast yet glamorous nails. It is easy to see how this shade became one of the spring novelties for nail polish in the spring of 2018.
At the Rebecca Minkoff Show, a metallic light purple hue was a wonderful base color and was decorated with a central stripe of dark purple. At Oscar de la Renta, the nails were all classes, painted in a beautiful golden sheen.

# 6. Bare Nails with Black Stripes
Nude and black is a nail combination that soon becomes as ubiquitous as the French manicure. As part of the Spring / Summer 2018 nail art trends, it was about nude nails with thin black lines for decorations. For example, CND for Club Monaco, painted nails in a clean and crisp nude, and then added a dark strip near the bottom of the cuticle. The look of Zero + Maria Cornejo was similar, but the lower strip of black nail polish was a little thicker, while the nails were kept very simple. Kate Spade and Phillip Lim were all about minimalism. Naked nails with a single stripe on an accent nail. For Kate Spade, a vertical line was drawn in black, while for Phillip Lim it was horizontal.
At Tibi we saw the brand-newest trend of spring 2018 with a thick stripe and a thin stripe drawn diagonally along the top of the accent nail.
# 7. Nail Art mi t colorful stripes
Striping in all colors could also be seen in the spring season of 2018, although black was the clear winner. Nevertheless, we have seen all sorts of reds, greens and blues that brushed both long and short nails so you can get creative with the nail art trends in spring / summer 2018.
The funniest stripey nail polish came from the Tanya Taylor runway where thick streaks of red and white were painted on the nails in a swirly pattern. At Alice + Olivia we saw a unique French manicure, with a thin strip of teal instead of the traditional white one.
No two nails were alike at Christian Siriano, but an outstanding nail art design was a really sketchy and. artistic take on colorful stripes on a white base
# 8. Nails with jewelry applications
There is no better way to shine the glam to stick a few jewels to an already violent manicure. This is a perfect way to open nails for one night, and is one of the liveliest spring 2018 nail trends.
At Philipp Plein, individual, clear jewel applications were attached to every Stiletto nail. They were tall and shiny and looked extremely glamorous.
At Naeem Khan, the applications were a little daintier. A series of small, press-on crystals were glued over a shimmering silver polish on the little finger and middle finger and looked lovely and subtle. There was a similar application design on the nails at the area show, but the overall look was more haute couture and less sensitive because the base shades were either a bold pink or a dark, vampy purple.
At Libertine, the jewel applications had a punks edge because they were black and encircled a yellow smiley face, and the tip of the nail itself was surrounded by a barbed wire accessory.
# 9. Barely There Pol ish
As part of the spring / summer nail trends of 2018, there were all sorts of nude and natural nails, and one of those trends was not to cover the natural nail with shadows and just go. They're either whole or just bald in a few places.
At Marc Jacobs, we saw a simple and easy way to paint nail polish in different colors that was painted a few millimeters above the cuticle, a negative spatial effect (which also looked a bit like a full-blown manicure). It was a similar effect, with mere crescents on Francesca Liberatore, with the rest of the nails painted with a metallic silver, another of the 2018 season nail trends.
Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, nail artist Adam Slee The nails of the models were simply covered with a clear primer that let the natural color of the nails shine through and then added a single red letter per nail and phrases like "dark Child "and" wild fire "declared.
# 10. Springtime Floral Nails
Tue Nail art trends in Spring 2018 included floral decorations, in a not so subtle allusion to the season. In Michael Costello, the floral design was subtle, painted in a metallic pink over a paler, bright pink.
At Creatures of Comfort, we saw a more abstract view of flower nail art painted with different Essies shades in a minimalist petal pattern over bare nails. The pattern on the nails at Novis was similar, but across the board nails were painted with blue petals. Finally, at Christian Siriano, where ruling unique nail design, one of the winning designs was a colorful French manicure with little flowers as decorations on top.
# 11. Abstract Polka Dots
There were no cute polka dots as part of the spring / Summer 2018 Nail Art Trends. Instead, the dots we saw on Runway Manicures this season were artistic and sophisticated.
At Moschino, white oval dots over a gray base on the nails had a graphic "mesh" effect. At Ryan Lo, the nails were painted a ground color of shimmering brown and then dotted with a thick, textured shape in a lighter beige.
At Tadashi Shoji, a bare nail was decorated with pale peach dots,. for a subtle and soft spots effect
# 12. Logos on the Nails
Branding is everything in our world, and so some labels chose to brand their nails on the nails Expand models. Nail Art Presents Names or Logos was one of the naughtiest spring 2018 nail trends, and playing with words and symbols can be a great way to incorporate it into your own nail painting habits.
At Monse, an "M" was drawn to the thumb in red and white stripes, over otherwise pretty bare nails. At Helmut Lang, a simple black stamp on each of the pink, angular nails explained "Helmut", and finally we saw the Champion logo in red, white and blue on Kith.
# 13. Advanced Color
Why are you just painting the nails? On some of the runways, in the spring of 2018, nail art extended beyond the nails to decorate the fingers and hands. For example, Antonio Berardi's nails were painted in a delicate nude while the hands were themselves decorated in white or black patterns. Jeremy Scott and Francesco Scognamiglio used silver glitter to decorate their hands. At the first it was a bit more restrained and limited only to the fingers, while in the latter it was enough to the back of the hand.
# 14. Glitter Nails
A season without glitter is a season that is not worth paying attention to. For the Spring / Summer 2018 nail trends, there were a lot of cool and unique shots on glitter nail polish to liven up all mood.
For Tom Ford, press-on stiletto nails were decorated with a gorgeous glittering rose gold to black ombre. Anna Sui was talking about short, silver-covered nails in the form of small and large rhinestones that made a chunky, textured effect.
Most recently with Jeremy Scott, while the nail was dull, the fingers have been covering me for a funky look in silver glitter.
