Milan Fashion Fall 2018 is officially over and we can not wait to see what PFW has in store for us. As often proclaimed in our MFW Diaries, the Italian fashion capital has been illuminated for the fall season of 2018, and many journalists, critics and enthusiasts are already congratulating Milan Fashion Week, thanks in part to the fashion houses Gucci, Versace and Giorgio Armani, and Moschino, which, along with (as now) less internationally notorious, are the annual fashion trend tiebreakers.
All The fashion trends in Fall 2018 presented at MFW undoubtedly shape the industry and confirm what's hot is and is not, and in the coming months we will come up with a variety of magical styles and aesthetics. Here are 7 (+ 1) of the most outstanding Fall 2018 fashion trends of Milan Fashion Week you should know! Have fun!
# 1. MFW and Geometric Patterns
Geometry has always been important to MFW, especially thanks to Missoni's creative line-ups. For this fall season 2018, geometrical patterns were literally found everywhere in Milan, either in the form of subtle touches or as abundant leitmotifs.
Missoni aside They were everywhere, from Versace to Etro, and even more fashion designers did not translate that trend into patterns, but into structured lines, like structured shoulders and multi-layered dresses.
Tartan and checkered patterns are natural to be included in this category because they were ubiquitous and ultimately shaped this absolute trend in the fall of 2018 (we are sure that PFW will also play with tartan prints; not, it was all over NYFW and LFW anyway).
# 2. Top Retro Styles
Although the fashion decade that was most prominent was the eighties, all retro styles had their fair amount of performance as one of the best fashion trends of Milan Fashion Week in the fall of 2018.
The Forties were the ones that have been overhauled the most, mainly thanks to Fendi, but also the Sixties (hello Moschinos great Aliens Meet Jackie Kennedy ensembles!), the seventies and the nineties dominated the shows, the former being mainly translated into soft, earth tones, and Bells, and the latter is the trendiest epitome of Milan's glamorous era.
Needless to say, the designer who was most inspired by the nineties was Donatella Versace.
< h2> # 3. MFW, d. H. A Maxist Fashion Week
What does it mean that the 80s were the ultimate trend of this MFW? Well, above all, we should not be afraid of maximalism in general, especially when it comes to bizarre cuts, exaggerated figures and eye-catching patterns. In this case, the world kings of maximalism, Massimo Giorgetti and Alessandro Michele, certainly have something to inspire. Second, the eighties are so different in style that there is a suitable trend for everyone. If you like male suits, you will be amazed by the incredible amount of suggestions that this MFW has shown. If you are interested in leopard prints, you are spoiled for choice.
And what about cozy sweaters or punk rock aesthetics à la Madonna? You'll also find them
# 4. Trending Long Coats and Maxi Dresses
Who would wear an overly long coat with an even longer dress? According to the Milan fashion week fall 2018 fashion trends, all! Maxi skirts and dresses, worn under polished straight coats or capes, were featured at many MFW fashion shows, making us both hypnotized and confused. Will such iconic outfits suit me? Will you emphasize my figure?
While we wait for an answer, we can refresh our memories with some of the suggestions from MSGM, Missoni and Salvatore Ferragamo in the fall of 2018.
# 5. MFW - Capital of Utilitarianism
If there is one thing MFW dominates this is the transformation of athleisure, sportswear and utilitarianism into soigné trends. Unlike NYFW, which is the indisputable capital of athleisure, whenever MFW brings trends inspired by athleisure to the market, these are more haute couture and utilitarian than pure comfort, resulting in the amazing amount of Cool trench coats, bomber jackets and collaborations (like one) are reflected between Fendi and Fila).
Long story short, if NYFW-style track suits are not your cup of tea, check out MFW's top-trendy apparel! width = "800" height =:
# 6 Neon Trends
While NYFW was magenta and LFW was more pink-flavored, what about MFW?
Instead of focusing on one main color, MFW's Trend color palette was all about neon colors, whether blue, green or pink. Bold, wild and mainly in solid patterns, neon colors literally illuminates MFW for the fall of 2018, treats us to one of the most blatant fall 2018 fashion trends we can ever hope for (added bonus: dressing up in neon colors in the winter could be a great way, to shake off any kind of meteoropathy).
# 7. MFW - Milan (eco) Fur Week
Whenever MFW revives its glory days, fur is also involved.
Often synonymous with luxurious and timeless styles, fur was an inappropriate fashion part of many runway shows in both small details and actual coats. Mostly faux (even Giorgio Armani has decided not to wear real ones), furs (and teddy coats) go hand in hand with one of your fall 2018 outfits, especially those in the seventies, eighties and nineties (we bet the iconic slip dress plus Fur combination will be omnipresent on our Instagram feed, starting from October 2018).
# 8. Accent on the Waistline
The Emphasis the waist is one of the typical 80s aesthetics that recur in the fall of 2018 as a fashion trend of the Milan Fashion Week, especially if it is a wide belt that immediately enters the limelight. Worn from virtually any outfit, whether it's a nightclub-ready mini dress or a fiery neon vinyl overcoat, belts have been used as standout accessory options in almost every fashion show, from Versace to Marni to Dolce & amp; ! Gabbana
# 9 MFW Beauty Trends
Aside from the clothes, we can not fail to mention two great beauty trends in fall 2018 from the Milan Fashion Week, which will certainly demand in the spring fashion victim.
The first is about hair, because the Bob is finally back in fashion, and there's even a style for everyone. If you love the aesthetics of the 60s, well, here you go with a Jackie Kennedy-inspired. If Clueless and Lizzie McGuire were your style inspiration in the late nineties, a bob cut under the neck will be just perfect.
Whether your hair is naturally straight or wavy / curly, just rock and have fun!
Last but not least, with the nineties and the geometric neon patterns that belong to the fashion trends of MFW Fall 2018, there were many creative directors believes that exaggerated cat eye right were way to go, and we could not agree more! Have fun playing with glittering neon or eyeliner or eye shadow, your new solid-colored, inspired by the eighties suits should fit!
