PFW The trailblazing dream of every fashion lover and the fashion houses Maison Margiela, Lanvin and Dries Van Noten prove it season after season. For their fall collections in 2018, the labels have overwhelmed us with a plethora of (even unexpected) dramatic fashions that remind us of their legacy and their imposing presence in the fashion industry.

Innovative and visionary creative directors of Maison Margiela, Lanvin and Dries Van Noten already have the inescapable trends of the next (or just this) season for beauty and accessories brought to market. And we love her!

What is the (in) natural evolution of a science fiction fashion house? Although futuristic labels are the epitome of evolution, they often neglect the aspect of "apocalypse" for haute couture, focusing on a positive future of neon lights and fancy sunglasses.

Although we're not complaining about any aspect of futuristic fashion, we were glad to see how the Maison Margiela's distinctive strong collection in the fall of 2018 exposed how PFW surprised a utilitarian series of pieces to be worn during some apocalypse (which many actually expect given what happens internationally with nuclear bombs, global warming and wars). Of course, with the apocalyptic collection As Gallery by Maison Margiela he made sure that he left no loose ends. Balaclavas, haute-couture raincoats, midi skirts, and streetwear-inspired ensembles dominated the scene, showing what Galliano was up to and paraphrasing as "in a hurry."

Too polished to be defined as anti-fashion, Maison Margiela's Fall 2018 collection appeared to be a new hybrid navigating graciously and appealingly across different oceans, inspired by more than one leitmotiv, and finally allowing us to create an incoherent outfit that, inexplicably, haute couture closer than fashion.

John Galliano, Zoolander Mugatu alter ego, could only have found the answer to all our wishes.

After last year's criticism, Lanvins ( now not so) new creative director Olivier Lapidus have just found his balanced dimension, winning both he and Lanvin.

For Lanvin Fall 2018 the designer's collection of digital pictures of LED lights was inspired nd transferred her living wealth to a 36-part line-up that was both dynamic and exquisite at the same time.

The color palette of the Lanvin Fall Collection 2018 was inevitably extremely bright and colorful, with many shades saturated in a slightly neon-toned color scheme. That's why Lapidus, while trying to develop a coherent moodboard, studied Krista Kim's techism movement (whose main purpose is to promote the dialogue between art and technology) and Jeanne Lanvin's artistic nature and something completely new such leitmotifs were created from such complexity.

What Lapidus sees aside is a clear future aesthetic for Lanvin, which is always a fashion house of consistency and quality rather than discontinuity and quantity.

"This woman is more fashion conscious than the fashion victim," he explained in a preview while talking about Lanvin's buyer-personality. "This brand stands for quality in a world that is increasingly providing the Internet with disposable fashion."

In the long run, this philosophy could well repay its efforts.

Presented as usual at PFW, Antwerp's Icon brought a dreamlike and futuristic selection of contemporary Eighties inspired garments to the stage, completing the looks with visionary makeup looks created by MUA Peter Philips.

"All girls had big, colorful eyelashes, we had Chemical Yellow, Bright Orange, Deep Purple, Shocking Blue, Chartreuse, Billiard Green and Brick," Philips Allure reveals as he talks about what's next Autumn must-have look, so neon eyelashes.

In addition to make-up, which was indisputably a big part of the entire fashion show, Dries Van Noten's Fall 2018 collection offered a good portion of It items.

Pastel dresses, furs, chemical yellow coats, optical patterns and bespoke suits stand out from the crowd at PFW, highlighting the contrast to the more functional lineup items such as parkas, turtlenecks and classic tweeds -Bleistifthose.

Last but not least Dries Van Noten also went wild with the accessories and treated us to some of the hottest boots of the next year.
